Trying to get your MicroSD card to work with a Yaesu FTM-400 mobile or FT-5DR handheld radio? They only support up to 32GB but they also need to be the right class of memory card.
SanDisk MicroSDHC cards vary, I tried the Extreme 32GB, it didn’t work. In the FTM-400, the radio would freeze up on boot, or if inserted while turned on. It would unfreeze when the card was removed. In the FT-5DR it just flat out wasn’t recognized.
Get yourself the Ultra 32GB, that one works perfectly in either radio.
